Do I need experience to ride?
No — safety instruction is included with every reservation, and it's an active participation model: you're not a passive tourist, and orientation comes before any real terrain.
Do I need a driver's license?
Drivers need a valid driver's license; passengers don't.VERIFY WITH ANDY
Can kids come along?
Age and passenger rules vary by machine and route — they're confirmed at booking, so check your confirmation or ask.VERIFY WITH ANDY
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Weather cancellations are called based on NOAA warnings/advisories or extreme conditions — your payment converts to store credit, and the ops team contacts you directly.
What's the cancellation policy?
Deposit is refundable (minus a 5% booking fee) up to 4 days before the tour. Inside 4 days, payment becomes store credit. Inside 1 day, no refund.
What should I wear?
Layers, insulated boots, warm gloves, goggles. The full list — including what's provided — is on your What to Bring page.
I'm running late — what do I do?
Call or text as soon as you know — there's no signal at the Turnagain Pass meeting spot, so reach out before you leave coverage.VERIFY WITH ANDY
Is tipping expected?
Tips are welcome.
Can two people share one machine?
On some machines, yes — the rental lineup includes 2-up expedition sleds. Your booking sets the machine split.
How cold is too cold?
Tours run in real Alaska winter temperatures — each tour has go/no-go limits for temperature, wind, visibility and avalanche level (Turnagain runs down to −20°F), and the ops team makes the final call.
When do I get my photos?
Guide photos are texted to you after the trip.VERIFY WITH ANDY
